Project Requests

To request a State Aid City Street Program project, the Street Committee requires that the Mayor submit a written request on City letterhead to the Street Committee with the following information:

  • Street name
  • Length of the project
  • If more than one street is requested, provide priorities
  • Describe type of improvement

The Street Committee’s address is:

State Aid City Street Committee
c/o Arkansas Municipal League
P.O. Box 38
North Little Rock, AR 72115

Each City may submit a maximum of one request per calendar year. Cities that have had a project approved must wait until the following calendar year to submit another project request.

Please note that the Street Committee is giving priority to cities that have not been approved for funding previously and the Street Committee is focusing on overlay type projects, which includes surfacing of unpaved streets and has adopted a rule limiting each request to a maximum of $300,000.

Be sure to read the Frequently Asked Questions. For additional information about the program, download the Procedures for Development of State Aid Construction Projects for Cities.
